Fitness Dance in Azul Fest It combines the dynamism of dance with the energy of physical training, offering a vibrant and rhythmic space. This style celebrates movement, joy, and connection with music, focusing on accessible, energetic choreography that invites everyone to move and enjoy.

Each performance should convey enthusiasm and vitality, highlighting fluid transitions, group coordination, and the performers' charisma. Choreography should reflect a strong connection to the music, utilizing varied styles and movements that are accessible yet impactful.

The goal of Fitness Dance at Azul Fest is to promote well-being, fun, and expression through dance. This space prioritizes positive energy, audience interaction, and the artists' ability to transmit their enthusiasm and passion for movement.

1.1 Execution of movements (10 points)

Evaluates precision, control and technical quality in the execution of dance steps and combinations.

Movements are expected to be clear, energetic, and well-defined, avoiding unintentional or uncoordinated executions.

The execution must reflect agility and endurance, ensuring that the dancer maintains the intensity of the movement throughout the choreography.

The correct use of basic techniques of fusion styles, such as salsa, merengue, reggaeton, cumbia, hip-hop and other functional training rhythms.

It must be maintained a stable body alignment, ensuring control of every shift, turn or impact movement.

Executions lacking energy, lack of definition in steps, or uncoordinated movements will be penalized.

✅ For soloists: The dancer's ability to execute each movement with energy and fluidity, while maintaining a connection to the rhythm of the music, will be evaluated.

✅ For duos, trios, teams, groups and mega groups: Uniformity in execution will be analyzed, ensuring that the group maintains a synchronized and powerful dynamic.

1.2 Transitions (10 points)

Evaluate the fluidity and naturalness of the connection between movements, ensuring that transitions are dynamic and without interruptions in the energy of the choreography.

In Fitness Dance, transitions must be fast, natural and fluid, without abrupt interruptions that affect the continuity of training.

Changes between steps and combinations are expected to maintain the level of intensity, without unnecessary pauses that break the connection with the music.

The dancer's or group's ability to manage the use of space and movement within the routine, ensuring effective transitions, will be assessed.

Abrupt transitions, loss of rhythm or misalignments in sequence changes will be penalized.

✅ For soloists: How each transition complements the choreographic structure without affecting the energy of the dance will be evaluated.

✅ For duos, trios, teams, groups and mega groups: Synchronization in sequence changes and group cohesion in transitions will be analyzed.

In Fitness Dance, it is essential that the dancer maintains a upright and stable posture, activating the core to sustain the intensity of the movement.

The execution is expected to maintain a balance between strength and fluidity, avoiding uncontrolled movements or excessive rigidity.

The physical endurance of the dancer or group will be assessed, ensuring that they maintain energy and dynamism from beginning to end without any lapses in performance.

Executions with a lack of body control, alignment errors, or movements without precision will be penalized.

The quality of the choreographic composition, fluidity of execution, and the dancers' ability to project energy and motivation will be evaluated.

2.1 Creativity and Originality (10 points)

Evaluates the choreographer's ability to innovate within the Fitness Dance format, ensuring that the routine maintains an engaging and effective structure.

The choreography is expected to combine dance moves with a sequence ofHigh energy, level changes and intensity variations, generating a dynamic and motivating experience.

The inclusion of different dance styles, like salsa, merengue, reggaeon, cumbia, hip-hop and other rhythms, integrated in a fluid and well-structured way.

In group choreographies, the use of Formation changes, visual effects, and team dynamics that strengthen the connection with the public.

Creativity must align with the purpose of Dance Fitness, maintaining accessibility and repetitiveness in certain steps so that the routine is easy to follow.

Choreographies without a defined structure, lacking dynamism, or without variations in intensity will be penalized.

In Fitness Dance, the complexity lies not only in the dance technique, but also in the ability to maintain energy without losing clarity in the movements.

The use of advanced step combinations and dynamic transitions will be valued, without affecting the accessibility of the routine.

3.1 Musical Performance (10 points)

Evaluate the relationship between movements and musical structure, ensuring that each performance reflects the rhythmic dynamics of the song.

In Fitness Dance, the musicality must be clear, energetic and well-defined, reflecting the changes in intensity of the dance floor.

The performance is expected to be perfectly synchronized with the musical accents, ensuring that each beat of the music coincides with a specific action.

The use of pauses, breaks, and rhythmic bursts will be valued to create contrast and maintain the audience's attention.

In group choreographies, the team's ability to stay synchronized will be evaluated, ensuring that all members respect the musical meter.

4.1 Individual Performance (Soloists) (15 points)

Evaluates the dancer's technical precision, body control, and stage presence throughout their performance.

Each performer is expected to maintain a firm and consistent execution, with an active posture aligned with the dynamics of Fitness Dance.

The performance must reflect physical endurance, energy and clarity of movement, without losing control in execution.

The quality of postural alignment, movement technique, and rhythmic execution of each sequence will be evaluated.

The execution must maintain a uniform intensity, avoiding energy drops at key moments of the routine.

Performances with uncoordinated movements, loss of stamina, or misalignments in performance will be penalized.

Consistency in posture, range of motion, and energy level will be measured, ensuring that the group remains cohesive at all times.

In group sequences, the intensity of movement and expressiveness must be balanced among all members.

Differences in performance between dancers, as well as variations in intensity or energy that disrupt the team's uniformity, will be penalized.

The overall aesthetics of the routine, costumes, visual coherence, and stage presentation will be evaluated, ensuring that each element contributes to the vibrant and dynamic identity of the style.

5.1 Costume and Characterization (10 points)

Evaluate the coherence of the costume with the choreographic proposal and the identity of Fitness Dance, ensuring that it reinforces the stage image without affecting the technical execution.

The costume should reflect the energetic and modern essence of Fitness Dance, combining functionality and style.

The use of bright colors, vibrant prints, and dynamic designs will be valued, ensuring that the team or solo artist's image is visually appealing.

In group choreography, the costumes must maintain visual cohesion, allowing the group to project a uniform image without detracting from the individuality of each performer.

Evaluates the attitude, presence, and expressiveness of the dancer or group on stage, ensuring that the performance is vibrant and contagious.

The stage projection in Fitness Dance must be dynamic, positive and energetic, conveying the essence of dance training.

Performers are expected to maintain an active attitude and constant energy, ensuring that the routine is motivating and entertaining.

Facial expression, body language, and audience interaction should be natural and in line with the intensity of the choreography, without forced exaggerations.

In group choreographies, all members must project the same intensity and commitment, ensuring cohesion in the performance.

7. DEDUCTIONS IN FITNESS DANCE

To ensure fairness and compliance with competition standards, deductions will be applied if participants fail to meet certain technical or structural aspects of their presentation.

Deductions will be subtracted from the total score obtained in the evaluation and will apply to soloists, duos, trios, teams, groups, and mega groups.

7.1 Time Exceeded (3 points will be deducted for every 10 seconds over the maximum time allowed.)

Each category has a set time limit for submission.

If the total choreography time exceeds the maximum allowed, 3 points will be deducted for every additional 10 seconds.

The duration must strictly adhere to tournament regulations to avoid penalties.

✅ Suggestion: It is advisable to rehearse with a stopwatch to ensure that the choreography does not exceed the time limit.

7.2 Abrupt Musical Editing (5 points will be deducted if the music ends abruptly.)

The music editing should be clean and fluid, ensuring that the track ends naturally or with a proper closure.

If the music cuts off suddenly or without a fade out, a 5-point deduction will be applied.

The editing must be aligned with the choreographic concept, avoiding cuts that disrupt the performance experience.

Important Note:

Restriction of Dangerous Movements:

The use of whiplash and whiplash is prohibited in the Baby and Children categories.

In the other categories, it is recommended to pay special attention to the choice of movements, always prioritizing the safety of the dancers.

Use of Elements and Accessories on Stage:

If props are used, the group must remove them during the blackout to ensure the continuity of the event.

Consideration of Skills:

Skills from other disciplines or dance styles outside the competition will not be evaluated.

8. EVALUATION PROCESS

The evaluation process is based on a detailed form covering various aspects of the presentation. The items evaluated and their corresponding scores are detailed below:

Technique (30 points):

Precision, control, and technical quality in the execution of movements are assessed, including fluid transitions and body control.

Choreography (30 points):

Creativity and originality.

Technical complexity.

Efficient use of stage space.

Musicality (10 points):

Precise interpretation and connection with the rhythmic and dynamic elements of the music.

Execution (15 points):

Soloists (15 points):

Stage presence, individual projection, and the ability to maintain precision and expressiveness throughout the performance are valued.

Duos, Trios, Teams, Groups and Mega Groups (15 points):

It includes synchronization, cohesion and uniformity among the members, ensuring a homogeneous collective performance.

Visual Impact (10 points):

Costumes and characterization, aligned with the style and artistic proposal of the choreography.

Emotional Connection (5 points):

Ability to convey emotions, stage projection and connection with the audience.

Total: 100 points

Deductions:

Time exceeded: -3 points for every 10 seconds additional to the maximum allowed time (after the 10-second tolerance).

Abrupt musical edition: -5 points if the music ends abruptly.

9. RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TEACHER OR CHOREOGRAPHER

The teacher is responsible for the entry and exit of his students on stage, and for reviewing the manner of exit and entry.

He is legally responsible for each of his students and himself, and must sign a participation agreement before the event and present the documentation, including photocopies of the under-18 age categories, with the authorization of the parents.

The organization requires the instructor to take out liability insurance for their equipment, students, assistants, or companions, in case of injuries or any other damages that participants under their care may suffer. Otherwise, the instructor will be held responsible for any inconveniences arising from such incidents.

The teacher must have read and understood these regulations. I am only directing this to teachers who handle and use dance techniques with their students, understanding that they may be re-categorized depending on whether or not their presentation has the corresponding technique, and they may never discuss the jury's decision.

10. REQUIREMENTS AND FEES FOR PRESENTING CHOREOGRAPHY

IMPORTANT: Children under 2 (two) years old do not pay admission, but neither do OCCUPY SEAT, otherwise they will have to pay the same.

It is prohibited to occupy the aisles, standing or sitting, for whatever reason.

Each person must remain in their seat throughout the entire show.

It is the teacher's obligation to transmit these rules to his or her participating audience.

At the time of the awards ceremony, only the teacher representing his or her school will go up.

Only the instructor and one adult, duly identified by the production company, will be allowed into the dressing rooms. In the case of a group of more than 30 people, mostly children, one additional adult will be allowed in.
